United Empire Loyalists

In 1966 a Vancouver band known as The Molesters was asked to play on the same bill with the Grateful Dead.

Looking for a new name for the group band member Anton Kolstee suggested the United Empire Loyalists.

Band Members

  • Rick Enns, lead vocal, bass
  • Anton Kolstee, lead guitar, background vocals
  • Jeff Ridley, rhythm guitar, background vocals
  • Richard Cruickshank, drums
  • Glen Hendrickson, drums

During the social revolution of the 1960's the United Empire Loyalists perceived themselves as part of the underground. Putting out a record was not a priority for the group as the establishment controlled the industry.

This CD is a collection of studio recordings and tapes of live gigs and television performances.
